New and additional drops for offices, suites, retail, and warehouses — including moves, adds, and changes.

Server room & rack cleanup

Re-dressing and organizing messy racks and patch panels so equipment is easier to trace, support, and expand.

New construction & build-outs

Low-voltage rough-in planned with your general contractor before insulation and drywall go up.

Frequently asked questions

What structured cabling services do you offer?

Nice2GeekYou installs Cat6 and Cat6A cabling for workstations, wireless access points and other network devices, adds commercial data drops for offices, suites, retail and warehouses, and cleans up server rooms and network racks. We also plan low-voltage rough-in with general contractors on new construction and build-outs.

Should we install Cat6 or Cat6A?

Cat6 still carries most workstation runs. Cat6A is often the safer choice for PoE devices, dense Wi-Fi and newer wireless access points. We recommend a cable spec after reviewing your site and the devices you plan to connect, so the cabling fits the equipment that will actually use it.

Can you clean up an existing server room or network rack?

Yes. Server room and rack cleanup is part of our structured cabling services. We re-dress and organize messy racks and patch panels, label the runs and remove dead cable, so equipment is easier to trace, support and expand when you add people or devices later.

Do you wire homes or only businesses?

Both. Along with commercial cabling, we run Cat6 ethernet for homeowners and home builders: drops to home offices and desks, wired runs for Wi-Fi access points, and pre-wiring for new and custom homes during rough-in. Use the estimate form and choose Residential Cat6 / Ethernet.

When should cabling go in on a new build?

During rough-in. We coordinate with builders and general contractors so data and Wi-Fi pathways are planned and installed after electrical rough and before insulation and drywall go up. Planning drops during a build-out is far easier than fishing cable through finished walls later.

Do you handle cabling projects outside San Antonio?

Yes. Nice2GeekYou is based in San Antonio, serving all of Texas, including Schertz, Cibolo, Live Oak, Universal City, New Braunfels, Boerne and Selma, plus fiber build areas such as San Marcos, Kyle, Floresville and Fredericksburg. Call (210) 920-8882 to scope your site.
